Schedule..... here
it is... print this and stick it on your fridge, bathroom ceiling, dog,
windshield, running shorts, kid, or wherever else you stick things to
remember.... then you simply strap on your old running shoes and go...
Here is the revised running schedule starting
Saturday June 9th!
Couple of notes - please read!
We really want to make an effort to get more beginner runners involved. I know it can be intimidating to see some of the El Guapo regular runners..... .they can freaking run...but its because of consistent and dedicated training.... that gets easier as the group gets bigger....If you want to run with the group please come out....I can promise a safe environment to run in....and we will keep tweaking the routes and methods to make all paces feel comfortable. ...just give us a chance!
Its is really muggy this week......and it will get worse....please take every chance to get water...all our routes give you water opportunites. .....and drink before and after.....we live in Florida people!
If you know any races you will be doing over the summer and fall let us know....would love to get a calendar going!
Here is the schedule!!
MONDAYS - 5:15am - Florida Yacht Club
3 mile run looping around to Timaquana and back. This course is very beginner friendly. Running, walking, skipping, hopping and dancing are allowed.
TUESDAY - 5:15am - Avondale Shops to Lee High School Track
Our traditional track day. At least two different pace groups have been formed and additional solo track work is welcomed.... ..One mile run to the track and back from the track to warm up and cool down....
WEDNESDAY - 5:15am - Scurti House - Corner of Hwy 17 and Verona
VERY popular mid-week run......some choose the 5 mile loop...others the 4 mile loop......and others still add a few after they return from the loop.......
THURSDAY - 5:15am - YMCA Downtown - Bridges
Our bridge loop is 4.3 miles and includes 2 trips over the Acosta and Main Street Bridge. All paces welcome and you will NEVER be left alone
FRIDAY - 5:15am - St. Marks - Ortega River Run Course
5 mile loop course...with variations in the course to make it 3 miles or 4 miles loops.....
SATURDAY - 5:45am and 6:30am - Foxx in Avondale
4 mile loop course down to Memorial Park and back...2 chances to do it......pick one or both...6:30 loop is traditional a social run...lets continue this! BREAKFAST after the second loop!
SUNDAY - 6:00am Publix Parking lot in 5 Points
This is new.....6 mile loop course through downtown river walks and historic San Marco for a trip on River Road........ beautiful course.....can be cut shorter for those not wanting or needing a ten mile run
